DESCRIPTION:Caruso Turley Scott (CTS)\, long-time local consulting structu
 ral engineers\, will present their considerable experience with Revit Stru
 cture on dozens of projects. They will start with who is in charge of the 
 BIM Execution Plan\, let us know how well the “Copy/Monitor” function is w
 orking for them\, when to begin the structural design in Revit\, whether C
 TS is becoming involved with BIM coordination during the construction phas
 e\, including Shop Drawings\, and whether those thousands of typical struc
 tural details still live in AutoCAD. Expect some discussion about the impa
 ct of AutoCAD and Revit Structure on the bottom line of a structural engin
 eering practice.  \n  \nThe Learning objectives are:  \n1. Identify effici
 ent practices for development of the BIM execution plan.  \n2. Identify an
 d list design criteria to be defined prior to beginning the BIM model. Obt
 ain consensus from all BIM modelers of all disciplines.  \n3. Set up a met
 hod to communicate and \, as possible share ideas for efficient workflows 
 during the project coordination process.  \n4. Define efficient workflows 
 for detailing in revit\, including converting cad details to revit\, linki
 ng details\, and creating hybrid details.  \n5. Set up known and attainabl
 e deadlines for all modelers.....in writing!
